Being a new member here, and getting ready to fix up my 74 X6 and X8 I have been searching for parts. I have found a listing of ONE place!!! I have not ordered any parts from them and have no idea if it is right. But the part you are looking for is AM52435 Do a page search and you will find it. Also, they are the only ones that I have found brake cables listed for the 00 and X sleds. Part # AM52063 Let me know how it turns out.

The choke cable is $10.40 and the brake cable is $9.45

Will,
That is a great find for another source of NOS parts. They have a list of NOS JD parts posted if you click on the link and scroll down the page. Most of the items are priced reasonably, but the shipping is pricy for inexpensive items. I noticed they have a Dator hood, AM54325 for $156.70, shipping is $17.00.

As Will stated, they do have the choke cable

" Most current model parts are available. Not all parts in our diagrams or listings are still available from the manufacturers for older models. All partially available orders will be shipped and payments refunded for the amount of unavailable items. "

Sounds like they don't actually have those parts? Weird web site.

harleysportster, shipping for the choke and brake cables for my sleds will be $19.00 while the hood is only $17.00??? Wow, what a price difference for those items. But, if they are the only ones with the parts, I guess you have to pay. Wonder who is going to buy up those hoods. With just the surfing that I have done here, those Dators are rare!!! And a NOS hood!!! I just bought a NOS 73-74 JDX hood and a NOS front bumper for my sleds. Got them off of Cragslist. Happy hunting guys. Glad I could contribute to the restoration of your sleds.

Just click on "arctic cat" at the top of the page, then click "Quick Entry Screen " type in the numbers you want and it will give you a price.

Is there a simpler way. Hard to navigate on the site for me. Hope they have the parts.

I figured out that the more you spend the shipping decreases slightly.

If you need a choke cable for a rider you can get a generic one from your local auto parts store. Cost is $8.00, The knob is different thats all.

Thanks for the web site Will I need to check it out yet. Todd I knew of the univeral ones from the parts store but when I went to look all they had was the whole kits and they were $18 I need to try some different parts stores. But if this place does in fact have the correct cables it would be worth it I need about 4 of them right now Ive got 5 or 6 spare cables and they are all stuck.

Are the hoods on the speedsupplies.com site actually available? If so, are they NOS, reproductions or used? Are they painted? This seems odd to me. JDX8 hood for $156, 295/S windshield for $28.45 and the shipping for both is $17. Hood has everything except the decals. An NOS windshield like this sold on ebay last week for $152. Sounds too good to be true.

I had someone tell me that they wanted faxed copies of credit card front & back, DL front & back, your signature, & maybe SS# I don't remember that part for sure?? This all sounds a little strange to me?? I tried to call to ck on availabillity, just a recording saying to email all questions??
If you look at the prices, take for instance a AM54336 CC track for $160.+ this looks like an old old Parts Unlimited price ( most tracks for anything now days are selling for $300.00 + ) so why would you sell one this cheap & where is his markup?? also where are the M- part numbers why would someone not have any of those & a whole bunch of AM- numbers?? strange??? I tried calling Parts Unlimited to verify Part Numbers but the B - ah Lady I talked to said that they only ship dealers, I said that if they had the parts I wanted that it would probably reach or exceed there Dealer qualification price but she still wouldn't even look up one part number???
I called a Big Dist. up in Parts Unlimited's area & asked them if they could call & ck on availability they said that they were told by Parts unlimited last year that they Had NO Deere parts in stock anymore??

Just my $.0735 worth on this whole deal.. remember " if it sound too good to be true" It probably isn't...
