96 Ski Doo MXZ Question

Hi Guys. A friend of mine just bought a 96 MXZ. Changed fuel lines,plugs, primer, cleaned carbs,etc. Starts good cold, but after it has been run for a bit, and shut off, is a real brute to start again. You have to prime and pull you,re guts out to get it started again. Some insight here would be appreciated. Thanx...Rob. I suggested getting a Deere

Check the manual primer on this sled. They were a known problem. I had a '96 MXZ 583 & a '97 MXZ 670 and it was a problem on both sleds. They suck air in and the motor gets starved for fuel. This is probably the simplest thing to check first.
