Here we go again.
My LF was over revving, so I went and bought a new belt of it. I put the belt on and now there is a new set of problems. The sled doesn't seem to want to idle. Also it seems kind of sluggish now.
After I switched it I loaded it on the trailer and took it to a friends. Quick rip around his place and it seemed OK. Took it out the next day and used it to tow some parts sleds from a friends barn to his trailer. Went for a short ride afterwards and the performance didn't seem to be there. It ran better with the other belt but it was over revving. The new belt doesn't seem to want to over rev but doesn't want to idle.
I don't know what to do, I have been having a lot of issues with this tarting at the end of last season. The temp was just below freezing if that helps.
Thoughts anybody?
Scott

P.S, I cant find a temp gauge that start below 130, from my understanding the operating temp is only 140-160? Is there any point of installing a gauge if it wont hardly read?

Dito what Rich said its not uncommon for a new belt on an old sled to be tight. Does it seem any harder to pull over? Is the belt sitting down in the secondary or up top like it should if its to tight it can stay stuck down in the secondary and seem like your in a car starting in 3rd instead of 1st gear basically.

It didn't see any harder to pull. It started good but wouldn't idle. I don't remember where the belt sat. I will have to do some investigating this weekend when I am home.
