BAD CDI on 80' Liquifire?

Post by jdfanmi »

What are the usual symptoms of a bad CDI? Is it usually related to temperature (i.e when sled is warm)? Or will the sled not run at all? Does anyone have a NOS CDI for an 80 Liquifire?

My LF had these symtoms last year ..it would run good until it got up to running temp. and then it would lose power and wouldn't go..after it cooled it would run again...Anyway It was the internal ignition coil on the stator now it runs awesome all day...
CDI box either runs or it doesn't but I've never had one go bad.
