Sportfire Crank

Post by wycrumb »

I am still looking for a crank for my '80 Sportfire engine. It looks alot like this one (Crank). Will this work for my Sport? Are there any others that I can look for that will work for it as well?
Thanks guys,

That one :LOOKS: correct, but I can't tell you for sure if they are interchangeable. I do know that the Drifter uses the same engine. Arctic Cat also used some T7 motors, however parts are not interchangeable between the Deere and the Cat cranks.

Bump, anyone have one possibly?
River rat - Thanks for looking to see what engine the "lost and found" sport has in it, if it was me you were checking on the crank for!
Hope to find one and have my sport ready to go for the Feb. 28th Fish Lake snowmobile run in northern minnesota!
(All i need now is crank!)

I'll warn you that it took me 6 months to find a crank from a Sportfire that was parted out, and it still needed to be rebuilt.

That is awfully cheap for a ready to go crank, you better jump on it, if it is what they say it is.. Remember buyer beware!

Sportfire Crank

Wyatt.. I am with Ken.. You better grab this crank and run..See if he will gaurantee it to be ready to use...I bought a couple cranks on e-bay several yrs ago only to find out they were in the same shape as the ones I had..Also bought a Indy 500 engine,New rebuild,,beadblasted..Looked pretty..Started it up..Bearing knockin.. I will not do e-bay no more..I would rather spend the money and then I know what I have.. Frankie (I didn't even know I had the sportfire..Trailfire motor,,Pretty Yellow trailfire hood,,A match to the one Lee is picking up :lol22: )
