shimming secdery clutch
hey today i am putting the secondary clutch on my 76 liquid fire.... whats the correct way to find how many shims to use? any info will help alot thx

Two shims were standard issue. If the drive belt fitment is set up correctly with a clutch alignment tool, a new drive belt should ride just outside of the seconday sheave. As the belt wears and starts to drop down in the sheave, you can remove a shim to compensate but the belt should be replace when the overall width is reduced by 1/8 inch.
