Turnout was huge!

This was interesting. Greatest part was when it was time to load up some old fellow jumped in this thing, started it up and drove it home. WOW!!

The featured sled was the 75 Whip. There were 33 of them shown in 340-400-440 models.

And there was some BULL.....

After the show on the lake the Scorpion Museum was opened up.

This opportunity alone would make it all worth the trip.

A couple more interesting units on display.

The Rescue sled was peoples choice winner.

And the Quad-Trac is always cool to see.

This can not be good. :boohoo:

As it turns out my duaghter's friend Colby was out doing some WOT testing on the lake with my 71 Stinger II and he desides to jump a ice heave. :hand:

Not a good idea with a boogie sled.

When he finally lands the spark plug wire poped off.
Of course he did not realize that so he pulled on the rope until the recoil broke.

He did find a buddy from WI to tow my sled to the trailer.

Thanks Austin.

This is cool!!!

The 2009 and 2010 Trail-A-Sled retro models.

Powered by the latest hi-Tech OHV 4 -stroke engines and tipping the scale at 200 lbs.

Top speed is a secret.....

I think Austin is Dennis Kutz's kid, or at least he has a son by that name also..
I see there was at least one Horse Whip there anymore??
Sure wish I could have been there... Did you see Jerome there I talked to him last Fri & he said he was trying to get cranks done so he could go..

Nice pics Todd, I was there with my friend who is a scorpion guy. Yes I was riding a red machine, but they really go, keeps right up with my '73 600 with dual mikunis. We talked to Dennis, he pointed Todd out to me. Dennis had a track there that was 18" wide and 121 long, I thought, hey I have one at home like that that was on my parts 600. Sure enough, its from a scorpion! I am selling it to Dennis. Here are a couple pics we took, the trip was def. a lot of fun.
Also I talked to a guy about his restored Whip who ended up winning the award for best feature sled ('75 Whip). He told me that in that condition it was worth a whopping 500-600 dollars! All I could think was, man I am glad I am a JD guy!

Wyatt I am glad you got a shot of the Whip lineup. My daughter took all the pictures and she missed the blue row.
As for 75 Whip values I would disagree with the value that guy put on his machine. His would bring at least $1200 plus.

Kenny I do not know if Jerome was there or not as I have never met him. There were two BW on display and one in the museum.

Yes, that was Dennis's son that was fetching back my Stinger.

I am sure there will be load of pictures and some video on www.trailasled.com soon.

By the way that track size is 18x128x2.52 not 121. Fits all the WT Stingers 71-72-74. Also comes in handy for a Mark III update.

Lakes are deceptive- they can look nice and smooth, and everything seems flat and you can run wot until a rock hard drift or ice heave shows up right in front of you!
