If you got shocked by the wire it might not be firing the plug. Is the dead cylinder flooding out or could there be a fuel supply problem with that carb? You really need to check comp with a tester 75lbs or so might feel like a lot with the finger in the plug hole trick but the sled wont run on it. Will try and help you more but we need some more info first.

Shannon,
You should rent or buy a compression tester. If you have at least 75 psi in the cylinder it should fire. Since the liquifire has 2 carbs , I would suspect the carb needs a good cleaning. check out this link:

Check and clean all the jets. Also check the adjustment on the choke cable. There should be about 1/8 inch slack in the cable at each carb ajuster with the dash level in the down or off position. Remove the air box and try squirting a fine mist of premix from household spray bottle, in the carb and try and start it. If the crank seals are original, they could be a problem also allowing a leak during the transfer of fuel.

Shannon,
If you are going to buy a compression tester, buy one that threads into the spark plug hole. You can get them at any auto supply store or Sears.
You may have a weak spark plug. Try switching between cylinders. I had a similiar condition last year. It turned out that the external coil was weak. The spark would show up with the plug laying on the head, but as soon as you thread it into the head, it would foul the plug under compression. Another thing to consider is the present climate. The jets may be to rich for the warm climate to run.

Id question the firing on 75lbs specialy if the other cylinder is low also but lets not debate that. Harley has a good idea about the coil though how about swapping the 2 wires coming from the cdi from side to side and the plug wires switch them also. This would be like removing both coils and switching them without the hassle and see what happens may pinpoint or eliminate an ignition problem.
