It looks like an Apex to me as well. I have a close friend who rides the mountains several times per year and he said the Yamaha Apex Turbos and the Ski-Doo Summit 800's with NOS are very popular out west. They are putting out around the 260 hp mark in these configurations and supposedly both climb the cornices like billy goats. He said the Yami's do amazingly well for being so heavy and have been very reliable in the turbo guise.

You are correct Joe. In the case of a avalanche they have the supplies needed to survive and to be rescued. Mountain sleds are purpose built to their use. I am not sure why trail sleds are not purpose built anymore. To me moreless, built for a purpose rather than trail riding. Duane
