Here is a picture of an 83 liquifire I just picked up. It has red, orange, and yellow striped tape on the bumper. Not sure if that is the way it came, but there are more out there with the same striping on the bumper.S_Kyle wrote:Anyone know why the bumper tape is red and yellow? I looked back on the site and didn't see any Deere's with that color of bumper tape.

Maybe the tape is on right, and the bumper is upside down.

Wow Frankie
 what you have there is a 1979 prototype Liquifire with the fire breathing twin 650 fan! They only made two at the factory and I have the other one in storage. I would give you five times what you paid for it if I wasn't drunk right now!

Mr Frost.. How in the world do you keep planting all these prototypes in my back yard.?? .. WOW.!! 5 times the money..That would be $200.00 .. I wasn't going to buy it at all,,but the kid needed gas money for a hot date and was desperate.. SO.. being the good guy I am I gave him some gas money and a little extra for a nice romantic evening with his date to McDonalds..She is one lucky gal.!! Frankie

Way to funny Frankie
I just saw your first post and was cracking up laughing.
Ok guys, here's the rest of the story (the parts Frankie left out).
I saw a post on Craigslist for an 81 Liquifire for 300.00 (no picture). So you just never know until you call or text (and yes it said text). So I emailed the kid and asked for a picture of this hot rod so I would not have to waste a trip. Sure enough he sent me a picture the next day, not by email, but he sent it by text I could barely see the picture, so I sent it to Frankie to see if he could see the picture any better. Frankie calls me right away and says what the heck is that.
I then called the kid back and said I would take it off his hands for 100.00 since he was desperate for gas money. Well the night before I was to pick it up I called the kid to get directions. He said his dad wanted at least 150.00, and I said ok and good luck, see ya.
So I called Frankie and told him that the deal fell through. The next day I get a call from Frankie. He tells me about the awesome Liquifire (79 Trailfire) he picked up for 50.00 from that same kid.
Frankie, I think you did that guy a favor.....Could you imagine how ticked off someone would be if they would have drove from Minn. or Wisconsin to pick up this fine ride.
I love your response when they said "So...how do you know its not a Liquifire?" Your response was well they called it a Liquifire because its liquid cooled and there is no radiator, this machine is fan cooled.
Later all. You crack me up Frankie
