Again if you keep your foot out of the secondaries 18-20 mpg is realistic.
But with 400 HP, or whatever the engine has, and more torque than HP it is hard not to make her bark.

Yeah if you are responsible it helps. I got my dad's old lincoln with the 460 running last fall, granted I was not being economical in my driving but I was poor fuel economy. I might redo the car one day but taking up 4 parking spots makes it a pain to go anywhere.

havent been on lately. like wat youve done to the place. and in know that everyone has been on the edge of their computer chairs waiting for me to finish. the cars running, rides great. and its for sale. so anyone thats interested let me know. i know deeres are prob on the top of everyones list. but if it dont sell i think ill keep it around for awhile. itll b a nice car to drive thru high school, maybe even after. ill post some pics too. sry. this wasnt supposed to rele b an add. so i hope no one gets too bent out of shape, just wanted to update u, get some feed back as to where to go next

Is it a automatic? If so check the torque converter bolts. Does it get worse when it's hot? Try straight 50 wt. oil just to see if it makes a difference. See if the knock goes away when its cold and returns when it gets hotter. Rod
