A Couple More for the Collection...hopefully

Post by tmartin »

About 6 or 7 years ago (I would have been 13-14 years old) I cut lawn for an elderly couple every once in awhile in the summer. They had two deere snowmobiles in a lean-to by there barn. They were not running at the time but were in very nice cosmetic condition. At the time I had little interest in them but I did look them over. From what I remember one was a trailfire and the other a 400 or 300. One had electric start and they both turned over and were complete. Time went by, the elderly couple passed away, the lean-to was torn down and I never saw the sleds again. This year when I got into the whole deere thing I had an idea to ask my good friend to ask the owner of the place if the sleds were still around or for sale because I had no way of contacting the owner and my friend knows him well. He got back to me on tuesday with some promising news. The sleds are in the barn, untouched from when I last seen them and he wants to sell. I will be loooking at them soon and will keep you guys posted on the outcome. And the best part is they only live a mile from me.
