Model 500

Post by WinnipegStPaul9 »

Can anyone tell me why I can't find a model 500 snowmobile in the online parts book? When it comes to a choke cable would it be different than a 300/400 or JDX series?

Not sure Don. I have it on CD so I can check for you. Funny, but the Model 500 not listed on the CD catigories either, but it's all in there with the 72-73 400, 600 and JDX's.

AM52116 is the choke cable for a 72 500
AM52435 is the choke cable for all the 73 sleds.

To the best of my knowledge, the difference between the '72 and all the rest, is that the '72 cable is bare, and all the rest are plastic covered.

Do you need one Don?

Thanks everyone for the prompt response. No I don't need one, I'll make another post about it.

all the 00 and x cables from73-5 should be the same the 400 and 500 for 72 would be the same but 72 is a 1 year deal its a much longer cable that runs under the motor mount and comes up from the bottom versus the 73 and up which loop around the steering post and come down from the top
