83 trailfire 440 crankshaft o-rings needed!

Post by flacker36 »

Can anyone direct me to a source for the 2 center o-rings on the crankshaft. I am working on a 83 Trailfire LX & they need to be replaced. Does any other sled use the same ones?? Polaris, Yahmys, arctic cat??

Thanks

Joe

Joe,
Give J-Rome a call (320)-267-8801. I'm pretty sure he's got them or can get them.

I get them at auto part stores and hydraulic cylinder repair shops always in stock and cheap. I try to never go to a dealer for anthing i can get local; first they dont got it in stock next you pay out the a$$. put a caliper on and meaure the are easy to put on too.

Hi,

I just put my 80 Trailfire 340 bottom end together a few nights ago. I measured the o-rings and used a catalog at our NAPA store and found that 727-2035 o-rings work perfect. Can't beat 88 cents/o-ring. According to the Deere parts catalog, the bottom end of a 340 and 440 are the same.

Hope this helps.

Paul
