76 Merc 250 Sno Twister Carb jetting

Post by robtan88 »

Hi Guys. I am hoping someone could tell me what the factory carb jets were from factory on a 1976 Merc Sno Teister 250. This sled was brought up top Southern Ontario from Wisconsin. Both carbs are currently jetted at 250 main jets, 38 pilot jets, 2.5 slide barrels, and the C clip is on the second from the top slot on the needle valve. It idles great but VERY boggy to climb up to the top end. The engine is completely rebuilt top to bottom and pressure tested. Timing bang on, and stater and CDI all in great shape. I have reason to believe we are dealing with carb issues on this one. Was hoping some of the vintage racer guys could help me out on this or someone has played with these old girls. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you....Rob.

What version of Adobe Reader do you have? Anything newer than 8 should be able to open it.
