After work today I took a 20 mile drive east into MN to track down a rumor of a 69 Hillary.
I did find the place and and the sled.
One 1969 Hillary WT with a 399 Kohler (stuck of course), no seat, nice hood and bumper. Usual rust on the bulkhead.
And then I asked, "Do you have any other sleds on the farm?" ...Yes, in the other shed.
Under a pile of old feed bags was a 1969 Rupp SnoSport WT with a 634 Hirth. Actually had a seat and looked fairly decent.
Then I spotted a sled under a tarp in the corner.
What do you have there? ....That is my sons.
Is it for sale? .....Well he has always said no because he was going to fix it up.
Can I take a look? ....Sure.
As I slowly removed the tarp from the front I saw a Big Mouth Cat Puma hood. Then a jackshaft dash followed by a nice seat. And finaly a unbroken toolbox and "puma" lens.
I am realy excited now....
Raising the hood reveiled a 760 JLO with electric start and it was not stuck!!
Sorry, no pipes.
I hope to nail the deal down soon!
It's still out there...

Very nice! The excitment of looking under a tarp and not knowing what could be there is one of the greatest in the world! Unforgenetly, mine all end in rotted piles of junk! But I'll keep looking!
