Get The Green!

Post by Invader440 »

Article from the Dec 75/Jan 76 Snow Sports Magazine. Hope the scans turned out so they are readable. If not I'll rescan them when I get my computer back up and running.

I love the S/7 program...do them "in the steam room with the temperature and humidity above 80. That's the way Enduro Team Deere does them"

IF only I could talk the wife into adding a steam room big enough for a few sleds. :wall:

Thanks for posting the story

Interesting take on the race....Had Don Amber's discovery pictures of the 2 lead Polaris's starting the last leg without head lights (rules violation) been enforced I wonder how this articule would been written. I do recall Bob Carlson making it clear that those were men driving the machines with their own money invested and asking if they had ever entered the race. JRC

Interesting. I was not fully aware of Deere's incentive program for the buyers of a 340/S, and the daily contingency money.

I often marvel at the fact that the 340/s was designed, the parts sourced and contracted, manufactured, and assembled between spring and fall.
Mass produced prototype!
