I must be the worst with 2.7" on both sides and this includes the the white next to the shiney blue rocks.
I have dual 21" lcd monitors with the res set at 1440 x 900 ............ It seems that my screen may be the worst
of all of them? I was just trying to make this a little better world for all of us by bringing this up :usa:

WOW! Now I understand. Mine has about a 1/4" border on each side.

OK, so here is the explanation.

The site is based on 1024x768. Many people still use this res. including myself, and from the poll, about 50% of you all. Those of you who see the "blue balls" are running higher resolution/wider screens then us.

If we were to run the site at a higher res., we would have to view it with a left-right scroll bar. Major pain. I'm checking to see if we can make it adjust to the user's screen, but that seems to be a bit complicated.

Thanks Matt, I definately don't want the left-right scroll feature. I was just on vintagesledder.com and a couple of their pages are like that. Yuk.

The only thing I have to scroll right for is a persons profile.. or if I use the smiley faces

I vote to leave it as is. Nothing wrong with a little blue balls. At least on the site.

They don't bother me either...(on this site!)
I'd rather see extra than have to move to see what I want.
You can always use the "zoom" typically on the lower right of your internet explorer task bar
(If that is what you are using) if you want to get rid of the side bars.

I vote to keep it as is as well. If the screen auto fits the screen won't the text lines get longer as well? I find that I make many sites' screens smaller to reduce the length of the text lines to make it easier to read.

I guess my attention span it too short to be able to read to the end of the line...

I would for one really appreciate the blue rock border gone. It takes up several inches on each side of my monitor. I appreciate everything you do Matt but the border needs to go. Duane
