An Uncle had the local 2 cyl club meeting at their farm the past weekend. I took my Massey 444 over just to agitate them, also my JDX8.
Original sled, just installed a NOS windshield.

Nice sled Brian! How is the seat?
Where was the show?
The Dodge county Antique Power club meets this weeked over by
Burnett Wi and JD is the featured tractor this year. The boys want me to
bring my sleds in for a change of pace. Your X8 looks good sitting
next to the tractors!

Hi Joe

This is the X8 I bought off Ebay a year ago in June. It was between Plover and Waupaca. The staples have rusted off the plywood on the seat, so the sides have pulled up a bit. If you look at the vinyl closely, it has a lot of cracks and weak spots just waiting to open up. However, there are no open cracks, so the foam is OK. Should be a good candidate for a re-cover. My opinion is that you need a new looking seat and windshield, or the sled looks crappy whether the paint is good or not.
The suspension is also seized rock solid, so that is a future project, then there is the original full width cleated track...

This photo was taken at my Uncle's farm, about 1/2 mi away as the crow flies ( West of Rio WI ). Not really a show, just the 2 cyl club's summer picnic. There must have been a couple dozen tractors plus a few implements and such.
To tell you the truth, the sled didn't generate much interest of discussion. These guys are seriously into things that are green and go "putt putt". $$$

I did what you have done in june. There was a gas engine and tractor show I have brought my sleds to for the last three years. I had a good amount of people stop and talk about them it was cool to see the kids check them out and get a kick when I let them jump on the sled.
