Comet Parts! Get Your Comet Parts!

Post by guitardude081 »

My vendors are blowing out Comet parts for insane prices. Their plans are to have nothing left of Comet parts by the 2011 catalog print. This means that easily obtainable new Comet parts will be no more within a year or two. I'm getting a complete list of what's left and the new price sent to me via e-mail. The blowouts just started this week so most parts are still available in large quantities. They probably won't last long. Give me a call if you need Comet parts. Remember, if you think you need extras...YOU DO because once they're gone, they're gone. :(

Hi Jack. What about a set of B-weights, and I believe a purple spring for an 80 Liquifire. I could use a spare set. OOPs, forgot rollers aswell. $$$$ ? and would you mail to Canada? Thanks in advance....Rob. Its for a 102c.

Jack,
I only need one thing, that is a set of cam arms HE-4. Can't seem to find any anywhere. HE-6 would be a close substitute. If you can help please let me know.

Thanks...Terre

Since I am just coming into the JD sleds, this Trailfire being my first one, I'd like to get a complete Primary 102C as a spare. Nothing fancy, just a stock replacement if it's available.

Thanks,

I don't *need* a new clutch.....YET!! :) Was just wanting to purchase one to keep back as a spare, just in case they become impossible to find should I ever need one.

I'm looking for primary springs for 76-79 Spitfire's, one for an 82 Spitty and then a 76 Liquifire 440 and a 77 Cyclone 440, other then that whatever else wears or breaks will just have to live with.

Hi all, is there still any places to get replacement parts for the Comet clutches for '80 Liquifires? Specifically need springs, rollers, and bushings for both drive and driven. Thanks.

Certified Parts Corporation (CPC) owns the Comet line. I heard scuttlebutt they were going to build clutches; perhaps something has changed.?

I heard the same thing several months ago. Put my county commissioner hat on and tried to get them to come to our county. Never heard back. Assuming the operation will be in Wisconsin.
