Re: state reg. fee
Yeah......I thought it was going to be around $10 or so to get mine registered but I left the BMV $35.00 lighter. On the flip side, the registration process was very easy considering I didn't have a bill of sale, previous registration, or a title. I figured they run me around just because they are the State. The lady who took care of my registration is an avid sledder as it turns out.....so that had to help!

Re: state reg. fee
Michigan's went up to $30 per sled this year .
Trail permits also went up to $35 from last years $25 . I also heard next year the trail permit will increase to $45 per sled.
Kind of expensive to ride if you do not get out to use the trail system to much . Heard of people talking about not even riding this year as of the price increases and the economy .
Add up all the fees , gas / lodging if needed , I can justify their actions.

Re: state reg. fee
I will just be putting around the fields in my area and maybe occasionally ride over to parents house if we get enough snow so the trail permits won't affect me...yet. Looks like an expensive time to get into snowmobiling, ATV's, etc.
I'm afraid to see what my truck and van tags are going to cost this year. With the states going bankrupt, hold on to your wallets....cause they are gonna tax everthing moves, breathes, consumes, and on and on.......

Re: state reg. fee
It could be worse. Trail pass in Manitoba is $105 before Dec 15th, $135 after. Registration is $35 a year.
Re: state reg. fee
Ontario is $15 per year for registration. A regular trail permit is $200 before December 1st and $250 after. This year we just got a vintage trail permit for anything that is 15 years or older that is $125, I am really hoping that they keep offering the vintage ones.

NY is $100/year if you don't belong to a club, $60 if you do. Club membership is usually $40, so it's only a benefit if you register multiple sleds.
PA is $20 for two years, but I'd pay more for a better trail system.
