76 liquifire water pump belt?

I need a new water pump belt for my 76 440 liqufire. All i can find is an old J/D number that I cant cross. Does any one know what size the belt is? Also wondering if anyone has engine performance tips or secrets they would share. I have to blow the doors of my buddies sno-jet.

Take the belt to your local Auto Parts store and they may be able to match it up to a metric size belt. The 76 Liquifre is a heavy machine that is slow off the line but it will gain speed. Check/clean both clutches, clean and sync both carbs. Set the track to 3/8 slack.

I just tore down my first 76 lc 440. The belt it had on it was a bando power-flex #FM-26.5 Hope this helps, Dave
