Deereboy,
I am assuming that your elevation is under 2,000ft.
Air screw should be 1-1/2 turns out.
Idle should be 1800-2200 RPM's
E Clip should be in 4th groove
since you have a dual carb engine, you should check / sync both carbs together. The best way is to use a flow meter but if you don't have one, follow these guide lines.
-Remove airbox
-Loosen both throttle adjusters on top of carbs
-Back out idle screws
-Turn the idle screw slowly in and using a 3/16 drill bit, slide it under the throttle slide until a slight drag is felt between the bottom of carb bore and the throttle slide and stop. Set both carbs this way maintaining a slight drag.
-Hold the handlebar throttle lever wide open with a rubber band, wire tie or some other method.
-using a small mirror, look inside the carb bore and adjust the throttle cable so the back side of the throttle slide is flush with the top of the carb bore.
-Tighten the adjuster and set both carbs the same.
-Release the throttle lever and check that both carb slides move at the same time by squeezing the throttle.
-Adjust the choke cables with the lever down to allow about 1/8 free play at the adjuster.
-Start engine, let it warm up and set idle to specs moving both adjusters together.
Once the carbs are set, test drive.

i am at 1275 ft alt. i have done all the above . maybe the pipe and sound are differnt from my cyclone and 80 lfire.it don't sound quite right at low to mid range.don't seem to lag or stumble.sounds like slight miss but not
missing. plugs are dark grey to black but clean. pipe is black. air screws maybe need in or out a little?any of
this make any sense?

Sounds perfectly normal to me. You can try moving the E clip up 1 notch.
