Kioritz 440LC crank rebuild?

Post by motorhead255 »

Can the inner bearings and seals on 76,77,78 440LC's be replaced. the reason i ask is i was reading in the service manual and it said that if they are worn out the whole crank assembly has to be replaced, and if so what does a person do about finding a replacement since i'm sure jd doesn't make them anymore

First off, Welcome Motorhead.

While i am not too sure of the avalibility of the bearings and seals, one of the sponsors of this great site is a crankshift specialist. If anyone can fix your crank, Jerome Kretzman of Crankshaft Services can help you out. Here is a link to his page. Good luck!
