cdi, which one?

Post by larky1 »

I think I have a bad cdi (need to do some more tests). But I found two different sources, pats small engine plus and hewtech. which is a better quality product?

Larky1,
Welcome aboard. If you are referring to the CDI system used on the Kioritz engines and are on a tight budget, go with CDI box from Pat's. In my opinion, the Fire Plug CDI from Hewtech is better. Here is a link to diagnosing CDI problems. Check it out before replacing anything.

Thanks for you replies. Has anyone had issues with a cdi from pats? Any less reason to trust one from them?
