trigger coil resistance

hello all i have a 78 liquifire that had sat for a long long time .i t took multiple carb cleanings and much effort to get to run descent during diagnosing issues the sled has i measured the resistance or the trigger coil both cylinders have 1300 ohms each instead is 30 as they should the sled seems to run ok after chasing down several issues could it have an aftermarket trigger coil in it ??? thanks wade

Did you follow these guide lines when checking the resistance.

thanks for your comment yes i did ,ive never seen one vary more than 10% from 30 ohms and here is one that is 1.3k on both sides and works ??!!??!! but is this thing causing issues ?? also this sled has header pipes which makes it sound unique anyway just considering whether or not to swap out thanks wade

Yah Wade, go ahead and change out those nasty pipes and then send them to me.
