new project- need some advice
got to do some fitting for my project for next winter. everything went as well as it could the engfits under the hood and the pipe look to fit pretty well except I need to move them over about 1-2" .to allow the hood to close fully SO I need modify the pipes to do this how where would the best place to do this as to not change the power band? anyone done this before? and does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1988 wildcat?

Not sure what it would do to the power band, but my bfh could move those pipes enough to close the hood. Looks like a good project. Weather is getting warmer, snow is long gone. I'll have to take a drive down your way soon.

Is the primary as close as it looks? Installing a new belt looks like a real bugger.

I moved the eng over a bit after that picture. Theres room to install a belt. Thus the reason for needing the pipes to be modified.

What if you switched the pipes to the opposite side? it looks to me like the mag side pipe has a longer twist in it like it should be a PTO side pipe??

Kenny you got a good eye there as the bend radius is longer on the one pipe, but....
The other pipe has a offset angle on the output and if they are reversed it will hit the chaincase.

The pipes are not reversable. I tried but they don't fit well at all reversed. The way they are pictured is the way they need to be.
