She is coming along nicely..had her running today...Ta Ding...Da Ding..Ding..

Cleaned the carbs, pulled her over to fill the bowls, 3 pulls and it was running. Shut it off, fired it up. Shut it off wouldnt start, flooded and broke the rope.

....

She hasnt ran in many years.

Now the work begins..

130 psi in each jug...perfect
Case has been pressure checked...perfect
Carbs torn down alot, had a flooding problem. Found wrong needle and seats...running great now, starts on first pull...perfect

Now gotta get that nasty tape off them handle bars and fix the broken pieces..which we have...perfect
Gotta get the suspension tore out of her and loosened up, got some extra parts and do some Cross Country race welding on it...perfect
ski's and front suspension are loose as a goose, fix that up, do some Cross Country bracing on them...perfect
Blown lights change outs coming, we have them...perfect

Hmmm...the seat, well not too bad, she is not going to get a John's restore on it, she is going to get some Gorilla tape on her and run...perfect.

Cost to date...Nothing... PERFECT

She's coming around. That hood looks great! Sure sounds good in the video. What's the deal with the temp gauge? Just the needle pop off or is the tube broken?

Needle fell off the arm, the arm moves. Gauge works fine.

Paul if this is the one that you are going to race how about a custom seat with like 12" of foam so cushion your keaster?

She runs so frickin' good..I have never had a JD sled that starts and runs so nicely. She purrs at 1800 r's...I know to low to compensate for the bog, but she just Ta Dings right along, she dont miss a beat.

I gotta seat on her Todd, she will be getting the Gorilla tape mod done on her. I just threw it on it in a prior post for a photo. This is a low buck mean mother trucker. She aint pretty, but why paint up and go with all the bells and whistles to wail on it.
