Will a 83 Liquifire exhaust pipe fit on a 83 Sportfire or are there slight diferences internally?

They will physically fit but there are slight differences internally. Liquifire pipes have abead of weld forming the letter "L" on the top near the outlet end.

The Trailfire and Sportfire share a common pipe, as they have simular power outputs ranging from about 38-42 hp for the 440's. The Liquifire pipe is tuned for higher rpm, more flow and more power at about 65hp.
Using a LF pipe can acutally hurt the torque curve of the Sportfire as it's not optimized for hit. If you were going to mod your Sporty, then the LF pipe would be a good choice.
