WTB Throttle/Brake Block

Post by WinnipegStPaul9 »

I'm in need of both an AM54618 Throttle Block and an AM54619 Brake Block. Would love NOS but would settle for good used ones.

Don you can use the Spitfire throttle block if you fill the pivot hole with epoxy and redrill it in the right spot. I have done this before with good results and there seems to be more Spitfire throttle blocks around then Cyclone and Liquifire. Just a thought.

Don you can also use the early brake blocks that have the grip molded with it and just cut the grip off. I won't tell.

Thanks Dave!! The brake block is for another project. I've got my brake side taken care of on the CC. Will use a modified block to hold the dimmer the use the KH brake and a standard grip. Dave, what epoxy exactly did you use that held up?

Don,
PC-7 should work. It dries black and is rock-hard. It is a 2 part mix which takes 24 hours to dry.

Pat, is that something from a hardware or auto store? Never heard of it.
