We should be getting 1 to 3 inches starting tomorrow morning. I have both sleds adjusted and ready to go.

Hey Todd, our weather guy in Fargo says you're supposed to get 7-10" of snow down your way near Milbank! Tough to shovel but sweet for riding! enjoy!

I'm heading to Ada tomorrow with the Dator for a show and the 600 for a ride. 3-4" of new fluff here!

a friend rode his harley on monday @ 50 deg, then by wednesday @5pm we could have rode snowmobile on 4". so the question remains. how much is really req'd to ride on? is 4" good enough for a 2 min ride, but should really have 8?

This is just my opinion,
Just a blast around the yard is fine.
The rubber tracks such as the early 00 series can run on grass and be fine. Once the cleated tracks came along as well as any rear suspension with the skid-runner (hyfax), you need a few inches of snow for cooling of the skid-runner or it will over-heat and melt. The thicker the snow, the smoother the ride. The steering is also effected. 3 or more inches will steer better than less than that.
The Liquifres should have at least 3 inches for proper heat exchange.

Why is it you guys to the south get all the snow! 2 maybe 3 inches here in Racine, WI. It has picked up quite a bit in the last 30 minutes though, may be the big pond to the east influencing things a bit...

Weather man missed the mark. Only 4 inches in my driveway this AM.

They actually groomed the trail today. Maybe groomed is not the correct word.
They were out with the groomer.
Not enough snow to actually groom.

i am directly across the pond from you in Holland, MI. Here the lake plays a big role in our snow. most of the time to our snowmobiling delight :sled: :letitsnow:
