Fall Sled Hauing...VT to MN

Post by JoeRainville »

Hey Guys,

Back by popular demand, I will be making my fall trek out west from NY around the end of September / Early October time frame. I can pick up and deliver sleds as far east as Rutland, VT and as far west as St. Paul, MN.

Would be great to hook up with the regular, or "irregular" Deere guys on the way through. I have a 24' enclosed trailer to haul sleds and parts.

Holler if I can be of any assisance. Can't guarantee delivery of any Deere race sleds, such as the 295/s 340/s, Liquidator or Cross Country if they are nicer than mine! (Just Kidding, really!)

Thanks,
-Joe Rainville

Kinda gives me a reason to keep searching the net for more Deere racers and parts in the NY area. Perhaps close to where you live.

Any chance you have a metal pan ,bumper and complete teather assembly for the 340/s let me know.

Hey Chuck and Kenny,

Chuck, the next time I haul a Deere racer you found from MN that was less than 10 minutes from my house, it WILL get lost in transport. These things happen you know, LOL! As long as you keep handing over running race sleds as payment, I guess all is fair. My lawn has taken a slight beating from the 295/s! That thing is a blast.

I do have two used aluminum pans and bumpers, plus one NOS aluminum pan w/o a bumper. Would be interested in a partial trade toward an original 'thin' 340/s bumper, as both my sleds will end up with glass pans.

Let me know what weekends you are busy this fall, I will try to plan around it.

Kenny, would be cool to hook up with you and Wade this fall too. Maybe I can make out to Wade's place this time, and see where the Evil Hiens Clan is headquartered!

Later Liquidator,
-Joe

PS: I also appologize for the typo in the head line, turns out "Hauling" actually has an "L" in it. Opps.

You must of gotton that 295/s rejetted good. When it left here that day it was a bit rich but ran great at 20 degrees outside . Strong runner that needs a little carb and clutch work to tear the track up in drags. Scarey fast little sleds that bucked me off once already.
Good times to head this way are Haydays, Outlaw grass drags and swap and the Eagle river show. I also do the Vintage sled display at the Power Sports Show at the Minneapolis convention center somewhere in there . Check the web for info on these shows.

Kenny and Joe

Looking for a metal pan that would be used for a racer so dents and scratches are ok. For a show sled i use the fiberglass but raceing the metal is awesome.

Dont know if i have any skinny bumpers but i will check .

Thanks guys

Do you go through Chicago on your trip? I don't need sleds or anything but I will be attending Illinois Tech there this fall and it would be cool to meet up with another JD sled enthusiast.
