Is there any way to tell who is a past owner of a JD Spitfire from the Serial # thanks for any help. Sulley

I kind of forgot who I got that sled from. I've had a dozen Spitfire's over the last 10 years, and so far only kept the green 78. I will have to see what I can find out from my files back in NY, but since I owned it for more than a year, DMV should let you register it from the tunnel rub and paper work I gave you last year.

Unless things have changed, that procedure is on a temporary hiatus. I believe too many requests were endangering the information pipeline. I have not inquired about it for a while, however.

Thanks Joe, i had the bill of sale you gave me and a photo of the tunnle #, i told them i have had the sled sence 08, they told me they could not give me the name of the last person that reged it because of privcey laws, thanks for any help i would hate after putting all this work into it DMV screws me. Turns out I got the sled from "Sidekick Nick" Freatmen, and got it from some guy in the southern tier. Neither of us have paperwork though. Until Airborn posted above, I had no idea that the bill of sale and a tunnel rub of the S/N wouldn't work. Glad I registered about 6 of my sleds last year, LOL!

Thanks Joe, they told me i had all the wright paper work, bill of sale, tunnel rub or picture just i needed the bill of sale to be from the last person that reged it, well i will try to find that person with the help of my cop friend, if anything changes let me know. Sulley
