Sled shed would get confused with Rich Acre Sled Shed, which if you want to expand to other non-brand specific parts you really can’t have it relate to John Deere, in the name or color. Which I’m having a hard time thinking your heart is in John Deere if you want to do this? I now that there are a lot of parts that will mix and match. I thought that’s all this site is about, and the store. Is the store for helping this site or lining someone’s pocket? Maybe the store should go on its own and be a site sponsor, and not have any affiliation with the site. Just be another Google search for parts. I’m confused???

id be tickled to see matt have the opportunity to stock other brand parts . the business that matt has ventured off into here has a VERY limited market and is doing much more to offer a service than make a buck . while factoring in the amount of time operating and supporting the site this guy is owed all the support we can give him wade bennett 765-918-8650

i think in the next 5-10 years there will be a big market for repoped parts as there already is. Look at old cars and how the price on all these vintage sleds have shot up in price. Matt is right all of the parts suppliers are dropping all of the vintage parts from there catalogs and ebay is about the only place other than vintage sites you can find nos or used parts. I wish the sled junk yards had a nice set up for locating parts like some auto junk yards are linked together, i cant find a slide rail for a 98 machz and it is discontinued from skidoo. There is money to be made at parts and parting out sleds but it is a hobby because it is very time consuming and to try to repop parts i have not done yet but nobody works for free and i thank the guys who take time from there busy days and the shops that will even mess with making 50 of this item 40 of those most people would require 1000s to even tool up to make something affordable. thanks for everyones hard work

one thing i have to suggest is to not localize the name. many companies put an area or the city name in their company name. subltly it gives potential patrons a feel that you are ONLY local. obviously in todays web based businesses it is a little different, yet still relevant. i would say it goes for the name as well. don't limit to deere only if that isn't the long range intention.
