fuel throttle on jdx w/ mikunis

so im trying to figure out how to get enought throttle cable travel to open up a pair of mikunis to WOT on my jdx 4 project and maintain the jdx style grips . could use cyclone hand grips but would like to stay with the original syle any ideas ?? thanks wade

Have you tried it yet? If you can't get WOT, the only option I know of is the Cyclone grip.

brian i did some measuring and it looks like its going to be about 1/4 inch shy maybe plenty enough though !!!! wade

If there is enough on the area on the grip past the pivot pin, you can re-drill the hole closer to the end of the grip about 1/4 inch to the right of the original hole and this will change the throw of the lever and give you more throttle cable pull. The pivot pin was relocated in this manner for the Cyclones and early Liquifires.

Wade,

if it is a 75, there is enough room to drill a new hole. Thats how i did my 800. If it is pre 75, you will have to change to 75-78 hand grips to get WOT.

i was trying to figure a way to use the older grip , maybe epoxy a bushing or something to the grip and maybe fit/fill around it to make it work maybe adifferent lever or something? not going to give up easy wade
