The new heart is ready for transplanting and hopefully we'll hear her cry for the first time tonight!

I think I saw rust on the 2 rivets that hold the ID tag on the flywheel cover

All the parts were ultra-sonically cleaned and everything was coated in high temp, baked on engine enamel in the shop oven so they would be fuel stain resistant. Stainless steel fasteners, washers, etc. were used everywhere externally that was functionally permitted and chrome acorn nuts were used to secure the ceramic coated header onto the block.

We got it fired tonight and it runs good! Bob came late, ate our pizza, drank our pop and left early as usual, but we did manage to squeeze a little work out of him the short time he was there... :lol22: I had a great time working with those guys and I can't wait to do it again sometime! Now, DA just needs to do a few finishing touches to the installation and he should be good to go. I'll post a video when I get a minute. :)

I must say- his sled looks absolutely georgous (sp?) where pics don't do that thing justice! Wow is all I can say!! :sled:
