1. Run gas out of fuel lines and carb, fog engine, or add 1 tsp of oil to each cylinder.
2. Remove carb and airbox, drain fuel out of carb.
3. Raise Track Off Ground.
4. Put cardboard under skis to protect floor, and carbides.
5. Remove suspension and grease and moving or rotating parts such as: cross shafts, idler and bogie wheels, and grease any zerks.
6. Grease any zerks in steering system, and grease tie rod ends.
7. Drain gastank. See JD tech article in tech section about JD plastic.
8. Use appropriate rubber mosturizer to protect track from Dry Rot.
9. Clean everything thoroughly with soap, water, or armour all.
10. Place fabric softener sheets around anything that could be seen as "rodent food".

Stick a rugged/tough rag in the exhaust pipe/muffler exit hole, keeps mice from nesting in the pipe/muffler and adding a bit of back pressure for next season. Remember to pull it out when you start it next season, if not, it normally blows out. I would have never guessed that mice would nest in a oil/gasoline sented environment, but learned many years ago that they must not have a sense of smell????

steel wool works great in the exhaust end, mice won't get in the exhaust. Card board under ski's is not a good idea because it will take on moisture from concrete. Use wood or better yet get the entire sled off the ground and up on blocks

armor all removes oil from plastics and vynil do NOT use.. use needsfoot oil or pure mink oil(rare as most have sylicone in them for waterproofing)

stick a dirty rag in airbox , aribox tube ,or carb ends

remove windshield and stick in dry place out of sunlight.

DO not store sleds in dry (heat oven) type place but mild or slightly humid dark place if possible.

get a good mousing cat if possible to protect your treasures.. yes bounce sheets do work to deter mice
