95 and 105 wide open throttle chock open
thinking I need to put rings in?

how low can commpression be and still not have running problems

Do I need to think about rings or something at this compression 95 and 105

It does not pump fuel well even after carb pump kit installed. only runs for a short period of time with the choke half closed.

Generally with compression as low as yours the engine needs attention. The low compression along with bad crank seals is causing the hard start and fuel delivery issues. You could have bad head gaskets, worn cylinders and worn rings. You won't know until you tear it down and inspect everything.

I agree with Pat.

Those Kohler engines are easy to fix.
