Just curious... Talked to a local shop about doing some vacuum formed lexan hoods. If I built the mold out of one of my existing hoods, it sounds like I could have him pull the hoods for about 3 to $400 depending on the thickness of the plastic. It gets slightly cheaper the more you do at a time.
So heres the questions-
1. Any interest? If so how much would you be willing to pay?
2. Any foreseeable problems with lexan hood? My main concerns are the pipe melting the hood there at the front (it gets hot enough to melt snow off the hood pretty easily) but that might be easilly solved with some insulation; also wonder about headlight and windshield mounting
3. Obviously, shipping a hood like that might be $$$... dont know though?
4. Am I missing something obvious?
I've got a '76 Liquifire, so the hoods should fit '76-'78 liqs and cyclones. any others share the same hood?
Any interest in custom Lexan Hoods?

78 LF uses a different hood. Make the vent for a 78 LF, that would sell.
