Pull Behind Sleigh

Post by jdfan »

hey guys. do you guys pull a sleigh (200-500lbs) with your jd300's? i was looking at the hitch and it looks pretty mickey mouse to me. should it be reinforced? i'm pulling on pretty uneven ground but not doing 100mph either.

let me know what you guys have done. don't want to peel the hitch off.

Mickey mouse? I've never seen a broken one, shouldn't be a problem.

Deere's have a strong hitch especially compared to some other brands.
And like Matt I have never seen one that was broke .

However a 300 may leave you a little disappointed with 500 lbs in tow.
You can easliy change the spockets to gear it down however.

The original owner of my 81 Liquifire towed a sleigh with kids after he hauled a sled full of firewood. Those hitches are stronger than they look.
