80 liquifire plug color
Pulled the plugs out after running around last night and noticed they're very light tan almost white ! The sled has less than 900 original miles on it. I have rebuilt the carbs, new boots ,oil cleaned out ( new oil ) br9es plugs ,carb settings to factory specs, and so on. runs great but then again they always do just before they blow ! Any ideas?

They are supposed to be a tan or cocoa brown color. It sounds like you could be a bit lean, although " reading " plugs is difficult at best. Be safe and check the crank seals if the sled has been sitting around for a few years. Supposedly you can spray starting
fluid or WD40 around the seals while it's running and it will cause the engine to rev up
if the seals are bad. Also, make sure no air can enter between the carb boots and the intake manifold because it will cause a lean condition.

How long has this set of plugs been in the engine and how was the engine ran prior to you looking at them.
There is no way to tell on a 80 + liquifire engine if the ENGINE CRANK SEALS has an air leak by spraying carb cleaner or starting fluid at it while running. Checking the case halves yes this will work.
You can check intake boots spray, but the air box must be on it and any little vapor or hint of the spray in the air intake area of the airbox will give you a false reading. The engine will rev up or bog down or stumble like a miss.
Little bursts of spray should be use, little meaning less than a second bursts, spray and wait 10 seconds and repeat, otherwise the air will become saturated with spray and the carbs will suck it in.

Another thing to do is when its hot and been running for more than 5 minutes, flip on the choke. What happens then ? Does it die, bog down, increase idle ?
Where are your air mix screws set at ? Needle clip set at ? Correct jetting ?
What temps are you testing at 10 degrees or in a heated shop ?
