won't run at WOT

Got a 75 300 with the kohler engine from a farmer for $200, only has 800 miles on it being a 1 owner. Got sled home, cleaned the carb, replaced fuel lines in and outside the tank. Got sled to idle nice and smooth but when the throttle is opened over 3/4 throttle it bogs down and pushes fuel out the carb. Not sure how long this sled has been sitting in the shed at his farm. Was just wondering why this engine pushes fuel back out the carb. Not exactly sure how 2 strokes work since i'm a diesel mechanic. I was also wondering how much this sled would be worth in good condition?

When in doubt chank the crank seals.

Very easy job on this engine.

The easiest way to check that is with it running spray starter fluid at the seals correct? New at 2 strokes

I have never seen a sled engine that you can spray fluid on the mag side seal.

True it is usually the PTO seal that goes first but at a cost of $5.00 each it is not worth the gamble.

Change them both.

Looks like you need to buy the whole kit to get the seals from MFS.

You can get seals at any auto parts store like Napa or AutoZone.
