Hi all,
If anyone has tips on finding a good Mikunu that I can fit to my 73 JDx8 let me know. I'm headed to Waconia this weekend and will be looking at the swaps to find one. If you've made this type of switch and it worked I'd be interested to know mikuni model #s, types, etc.
Thanks!

Re: Mikuni to fit a JDX8 suggestions
You need a VM-34 (from a Cyclone 440 would be perfect), a fuel pump, a throttle & choke cable, a new rubber carb adapter, and either the handlebar grips from the Cyclone/early Liquifire, or you have to modify your grip so the throttle lever has enough travel for the Mikuni slide.

Great info on the carb swap. Thanks!
Re: Mikuni to fit a JDX8 suggestions
When I put one on a Kohler, I found it easier to replace the studs on the intake manifold w/Allen head bolts. Gave a much better fit. Also, used the throttle lever off a JDX and it worked perfectly with the SPI cable I used.

i used a trailfire throttle lever on my jdx 4 project with the stock grip and it opens the carbs 95% good enough for my program!! wade
