I just got back from a ride. It's pretty wicked out there, but I mannaged to put some miles on. My bosses are expecting me in tomorrow whether I drive the Expy or the Deere. I can't tell how much snow we've got so far because it's drifting pretty bad.

Coffee is on, dressed and truck is running via remote start from my house. Wind is still blowing, white out condition, looks like some very large drifts in my backyard very hard to see, still snowing also, dog is having to crap on a mountain. Looks like I will be calling the boss man to let him know how bad it is here, I was supposed to pick him up at 4am to head into work to plow snow.....I dont see this happening this morning....
Excellent!
I'm taking off Monday. (Blaming it on the Superbowl, but actually the trails are just
too perfect to not go for a ride.)
Looks like you don't need trails, you can just go pretty much where u want.
(Roads? Where we're going we don't need any roads. (Doc))
Here are some pics of route 71, this is still closed as of right now. The pics dont serve justice, drifts are over 7 feet in spots. I floated on top of them with the mighty COUGAR..
I called in to work at 6:00 am and left a message that if anyone made it in to give me a call. I haven't heard from anyone yet. Very heave lake effect comming down still.

I just tried getting out of town, made it 1/4 mile heading west on 71 and turned around in the truck. There is some big a$$ loader running around here now in town, piles of snow are over 10 foot high....beautiful, but the state route is crazy, I had to bust through 3 foot drifts, that was enough for this guy. May just have to do some cross country practicing and head to the neighboring town and get some more fuel. East bound is still showing 7 foot drifts across the road.
Thanks for posting your wife's videos Paul. I showed them to my wife and she had a good laugh ( I wonder if my wife feels the same......She sure does)
By the way, doesn't everyone take a few steps back and admire the beauty of a snowmobile..... I know I do.
