Actually almost no snowmobile manufacturer made their own cutter ( someone will call me out I bet). Most cutters were made and sold under license. OK, so what snowmobile companies actually made their own sleighs??

I have seen several vintage ones that looked the same other than paint and decals so I bet that they all came from the same manufacture.
But Cat did make their own.
And I have not seen one that matched the Skiroule Cariol.(sp)
There is one comapny that still makes one that has side by side seating and has a totaly enclosed option.
And there is one still made that is more of a cargo sled than a cutter. It is all steel and has a stand up rider set up on the rear like a dog sled.
If you go shopping for a vintage one be prepared to empty your wallet as the prices are very high for a mint one. Like close to a grand.
But a rusty, damaged one can be cheap. The longer, wider skis that many used are still made.
Deere did make what they called a Cutter 100 years ago but it was intended to be puller by a pony or large dog and had narrow wooden runners.
I posted a picture of it last winter.
im not intirely sure if they were made by one company or by the manufactuer but i have seen some for the johnsons and cats and scorpions but i think i can make one if i can make whats in my head a realite it may take some time but i am only 17 years old i have time
what about the ski boose. my dad inlaw has one we've always pulled with the cyclone. any one wanna buy it? he might sell it. for its age i think it is in great shape. he has original cover as well
