Drive sprocket swap

Post by murph6090 »

I wanna do a drive sprocket swap on my 78 spitfire. Does anybody know if i can take some off a snowfire. And what pitch are snowfire sprockets.

Yes, they have the same part number. The sprint and snows had the optional (for the spits) 8 tooth drivers standard. I think the 8 tooth were supposed to give you a little more top speed over the stock (for the spits) 7 tooth drivers.

yes, the 8 tooth are just a slightly bigger diameter on the 8 tooth. They are completely interchangeable.
