I think our best bet is to see if they can be subbed to a current Gabriel #. I'll throw one in the truck and see if I can find a "go-getter" next time I drive by the local auto supply shop.
Mitch, the local NAPA give me the shock book and I spent a lot of time in the "dimension" section and never found anything that came very close. That said I have a new pair of Kimpex shocks that came from Royal Distributing in Canada that will be going on my CC. Not going to say more until they are installed and functional.

Kenny,

I know owner of Deycore well, he builds all the shocks for my newer sleds. He does great work and his custom shocks are awesome....they are also not cheap. Keep in mind, these shocks are scratch built with custom made parts and look nothing like the old non-rebuildable type used by Deere.

Give me a call if you need more detals.

Got Kimpex ski shocks from Royal Distributing a number of years ago for the Cyclone.
I had to play with the spacers a little bit to make them fit, they worked and looked fine.
At that time they were unable to match the suspension shock, maybe they can now.

these seem to be harder to find then cleats. i wonder why someone has not repro'd these yet. seems to me there is a demand for them. what other deere parts are often needed/wanted that would worth while to have made?

Shocks are not going to be very affordable to repro in small quantities, and there were many different part #s used so they aren't all the same either.

What I don't understand is why when you look at shocks in Kimpex's catalog do they always show one end or the other without the rubbers & or bushings? Where do you find the rubbers & bushings if yours are shot also & you need them??
I don't think that the action of the shocks mean as much today as the length ( Extended & compressed ) does. at least it wouldn't to me as I'm not racing the sleds any more..
So with that said IF the lengths would match or be close we might be able to eliminate 1/2 the JD part numbers right off the start.. i guess I haven't looked at any MFG catalog to see what would come close to what we need for shocks?? I'll let one of you other guys play with that one as I have enough going on right now with the re-pop items I;m doing.

Royal Distributing also offered bushings for the suspension shock that I bought for the CC. I bought them too. DA
