Parting out '78 Spitfire

Post by just_some_dude »

I'm parting out my '78 spitfire. Let me know what part/s you want and make me an offer. Also, include your zip, or PM your address, so I can get an estimate on shipping for you. Or, pick it up. Some parts are worthless, others are good. Some are new.

Let me know if you need pics of something specific and angles you'd prefer, etc. I just want to make sure you can get a good picture of it before you buy it.

Feel free to ask questions.

Are you sure you wanna part it out? Did you atleast give Chuck Norris a chance after he won the pole?

He came and gave me two options. One, fix the sled, or two, be a bad guy in the next episode of Walker Texas Ranger. I could not resist the latter.

Very good choice. I would have done the same.

Here are a few more pics. Someone requested some photos of the track, so I thought I'd post them here as well.

I've put a few parts on ebay and as I continue to tear it down I'll put them on there unless people get ahold of me otherwise.

Just an update...

These have been sold, still a lot left to sell.
Spindles
New CDI (still have the old)
Mikuni Slide Carb

Just some quick prices for anyone who is interested in the following parts...

Track: $45 plus shipping. In okay shape. Check the pics.
Air Box: $20 plus shipping
CDI (as far as I know it is the original): $5 plus shipping
New Belt (maybe went 50 yards on it?): $20 plus shipping
Old Belt (not sure how much life is left on it): $5 plus shipping
Exhaust (each part): $10 plus shipping
Crankcase (with pistons): $50 plus shipping
Gasket kit (never used any of them, opened it up, but never used): $15 plus shipping

If it can be shipped, I'll sell it. Some parts I have are not worthy of sale (just too beat up), so just let me know which parts you want. Some larger parts may be hard for me to ship, so if you have any ideas, let me know.

Reach out, I'm willing to negotiate on multiple items.

You can text me too, if you'd like. Count the dots, that is my number.

Okay... Well at this point the remaining parts are getting in the way and I don't feel like holding on to them at the moment. Need the space for fixing a different snowmobile.

So, if someone is local and wants to make a reasonably low offer for all of the remaining parts, you can come pick them up.
