I was scheduled to stop and look at it on the way home from the HOF ride. He never sent me pics as promised, he was going to sell it to me for 350 but someone told him it was a very sought after sled. Finally, I asked him if he even wanted to sell it any more and he said "I don't think so."

So, it seems to me to be another case of "Oooops, I under priced my sled according to one persons opinion on it being a collectible".

If you call him, ask him if this is the same sled that he renigged on back in February.

I called after yesterdays typing tirade, and asked if he had listed these before and he stated that he had but pulled them off because of guys low balling him. I reminded that we had agreed on a price dependent on inspection. It all started to come back to him then.

He is sending me (we'll see) pictures tonight. I will check them out and try to post here.

Matt, Who is this I500 guy and why is he picking on me? I know, I know, it's because I'm John Deere Bob, isn't it?

OK, OK, I received pics today. But, none of the hood, or a good one of the body. Seat has been recovered (poorly), has a blue seat strap, missing the recoil, and something else seemed out of place. I asked for some more pics, he said he would tonight. He then reminded me of the collective value of the 83's. I revealed that he had the most popular manufactured year any of the sprints. So, he calls me.
Long story short- def an 83 by serial number, can't find the build date and get this, the tunnel has been painted black.
So, no sale for me.
