Old Stabil?

Post by Cabindweller »

Ok I got a good one. I am getting ready to put the sleds away for the summer

I found an old bottle of Stabil I didn't know I have. It might be five years old. Do you think it is still good? If not, is there anything you can put in it to keep it fresh?

I actually had stabil go bad in unopened bottles after 5 years. It tends to get "chunky" and settle to the bottom.

A member in the ACSCC said John Deere makes a good stabilizer that lasts up to two years.
Must add it to fresh fuel and run engine for 5 minutes.
Going to give it a try.

I use the JD stabilizer - it's good stuff. I don't know if it's any better then Stabil or not, but it works.
